AWR was formed to help address the saltwater disposal needs in the prolific Utica and Marcellus hydrocarbon basins, primarily located in Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. The Utica/Marcellus Basins are the largest natural gas fields in North America and contain an estimated 214 trillion cubic feet of undiscovered, technically recoverable continuous resources of natural gas.
We quickly expanded to the Permian Basin which spans the states of Texas and New Mexico. The Permian Basin is America’s largest oil producing region forecasted to produce 5.3M barrels per day in 2022. AWR is comprised of saltwater disposal experts who focus on operational excellence, environmental stewardship, and maximizing value for the local operators in the region. Our state-of-the-art, strategically located facilities provide a cleaner and more sustainable environment. We do this by using injection wells to lower the harmful impacts on our planet through better management of complex and liquid wastes.

Our saltwater disposal sites are located in Ohio and West Texas. We continue to grow our facilities and strategically locate them near the largest producers in the areas we serve.
